The history of oncology is paradigmatic, testifying to scientific and technological advances in medicine that have transformed our understanding of and approach to treating cancer, changing it from an incurable mystery to a condition with ever-increasing possibilities for a cure. All of this has occurred in just over 80 years. This period spans from the end of World War II and the advent of chemotherapy to the current availability of molecularly targeted drugs, anti-angiogenic drugs, immunotherapy, and gene therapy.

Oncology is one of HCC's core competencies

Since 2018, we have been supporting Johnson & Johnson Oncology with institutional and marketing communications for blood, lung, prostate, and bladder cancers. Our work includes product launches, awareness campaigns, market access, and public affairs initiatives. We have also managed awareness campaigns and product launches for Roche (bevacizumab), Astellas (enzalutamide), and Pierre Fabre (vinflunine). We developed innovative projects such as the first survey in Italy examining the importance of time and quality of life for cancer patients and their friends and family (Favo/Eurisko, 2008). From 2004 to 2014, we helped the Swiss company Helsinn establish a global presence in oncology and palliative care. In 2025, we supported Eli Lilly and Company in presenting the "Life Button" campaign, sponsored by Europa Donna Italia, the IncontraDonna Foundation, and Salute Donna, to raise awareness among women about the importance of adhering to breast cancer treatment.
